In 2024, L.L.C.O.O.L.J. LLC was awarded a Community Trauma Response Fund award from City of Minneapolis. The goal of this award for L.L.C.O.O.L.J. is to further the mission of “Simplifying Bureaucracy For All.” The Reading Out Loud Literacy program seeks to address the increasing need for accessible learning spaces. In 2025, City of Minneapolis awarded the program an amendment that allowed for an even more robust program and for the organization to deepen the commitment to literacy for all. In partnership with community, L.L.C.O.O.L.J. installed:

• 6 community libraries throughout Minneapolis. With funding from City of Minneapolis for youth ages 18-30 that are:

  • Safe

  • Accessible learning spaces

  • Therapuetic (available modalities include grounding mats, vibration plates, massage chairs, red & blue light therapy, and of course books!)

          Traditional paths to education may no longer be attractive to a growing number of young people that are ready to take responsibility to educate themselves. By providing an alternative that leverages community to support academic and career goals, Reading Out Loud Literacy has a mission of making literacy accessible to all!
